Bento and Beer

From a previous trip to Japan on the shinkansen (Bullet Train) between Tokyo and Kyoto.
Filled with all the goodness Japan has to offer. And the bento box wasn't bad either.

Here we go

  Hello, now let's eat.
We are a husband and wife duo originally from Kentucky where we grew up with Skyline Chili, biscuits and gravy and moonshine. We've since developed a taste for shrimp piri-piri, stilton and grapa (Italian moonshine). We enjoy eating and drinking, whether in a local joint in St. Petersburg or a restaurant in Mozambique with no english being spoken and no menu to be found. That's all part of the adventure.
We start this blog with a trip to Japan, land of bento boxes and conveyor belt sushi. Well, it's actually MUCH more than that, but that's two of our favorites. We'll be eating and drinking in Ginza, Miyajima (a small island south of Hiroshima), Okayama and Naoshima (a small island south of Okayama).
So sit back, enjoy and don't mind us too much if we spill a few drops here and there as we start this journey.
  Ja mata,
